Long Island is becoming known for its overwintering habitat for several seal species, and the nature lovers in the Light Painters group were quite enthusiastic about a proposed hike to Montauk’s seal haulout location. It’s a bit of a trek, with photo gear especially, but the hard souls who made the hike, were rewarded with a few frolicking seals found in the surf and on the rocks. Here are a few of the best shots.
