A commonly known guide for photography, or art in general for that matter, is that light areas draw the eye away shadowed, dark areas. So, if you are photographing highly reflective subjects, such as a mirror, metal, through a window, or other surface that could show your reflection, plan to wear subdued dark clothing. Your chances of showing up in the reflection will be greatly minimized.
