The Learning Center is Open!

Finally, eastern Long Island has a place where you can explore digital photography with the guidance of a professional photographer close at hand. The Cameras, Computers & Cyberspace Digital Photography series of classes offered through Southold Town and the Mattituck-Laurel Library has been expanded into bona fide Camera Club. Members can grow and learn about digital photography from an experienced facilitator and meet others who share their love of photography.

This is just what we needed!

Where? When?
The Cameras Computers & Cyberspace Learning Center will meet at the Laurel Lake Vineyards Tasting Room (Main Road Laurel) on the 2nd Thursday of each month beginning at 6:00pm for check-in and a light dinner and finishing at 9:00 pm. Wine will be available but sold separately. We will also meet on the 4th Saturday of the month for field trips. Locations to be announced at the meetings.

How?

  • Membership dues will be collected once annually.
  • Charter Member Dues will be $75 for all members joining in 2011.
  • Introductory Membership Dues will be discounted to $50 for all new members joining in January and February 2011.
  • A monthly stipend to cover costs of materials and refreshments (not included wine) is $12.
  • Dues and meeting fee prepaid for the full year is $169-a $50 savings off the Charter Member price

  • Once-monthly workshop meetings to hone post-processing skills. Beginner and advanced techniques to be covered. Guest speakers periodically scheduled.
